Specialist equine skin, feather & grooming care, developed through generations of experience with traditional cobs.
Our No Moore Mallanders Cream has had a little update – the same much-loved cream, now with Calendula.
Designed for the regular care of areas prone to Mallanders and Sallanders, this rich moisturising cream helps soften dry, scabby keratin build-up while moisturising and conditioning the skin beneath.
We've replaced Helichrysum with Calendula, chosen for its gentle, soothing and skin-conditioning qualities. It's particularly well suited to heavily feathered legs where dry, sensitive skin and stubborn keratin build-up require regular care.
A little goes a long way. Use regularly on stubborn areas and then as required as part of your ongoing feather and skin-care routine. It's particularly useful during the warmer summer months when direct sunlight and heat can make Moore's Feather Oil less suitable.
Calendula, derived from the flowers of Calendula officinalis, has a long history of use in cosmetic and skincare preparations. We've chosen it for our updated cream because of its gentle nature and suitability for dry and sensitive skin.
1. Soothing & comforting
Calendula is widely used in skincare products formulated for dry, sensitive and irritated skin, making it a lovely choice for heavily feathered legs that require regular attention.
2. Skin conditioning
Calendula helps condition the skin, leaving dry areas feeling softer, smoother and more comfortable.
3. Moisturising care
Its skin-conditioning qualities complement our rich moisturising cream base, helping maintain softness and suppleness where the skin can become particularly dry.
4. Gentle care for sensitive areas
Calendula is commonly chosen for gentle skincare formulations, making it well suited to areas requiring regular, careful maintenance.
5. Naturally occurring botanical compounds
Calendula naturally contains plant compounds including flavonoids and carotenoids and has been used in botanical skincare preparations for generations.
6. Ongoing feather care
Its gentle, moisturising and conditioning qualities make Calendula an excellent addition to a regular routine for maintaining soft, comfortable and healthy-looking skin beneath heavy feather.
Apply a small amount to the required area and gently work into the skin. Use regularly on stubborn dry areas and then as required for ongoing maintenance.
A little goes a long way.
As with all Moore's products, patch testing before first use is always recommended.
For external use only.
A Touch Moore was born from almost 40 years of hands-on experience with horses and ponies, and generations spent around traditional cobs through Moore’s Gypsy Cobs.
After years of trying products that never quite gave us what we wanted, we began developing products for our own horses — products we could trust and were happy to use in our own yard.
Today, A Touch Moore has grown from those beginnings into a specialist equine care brand, with products for Mallanders & Sallanders, skin, feather and grooming care. Everything we develop is still guided by the same principle: if we wouldn’t use it on our own cobs, we wouldn’t ask you to use it on yours.
From our cobs to yours.
I honestly can't recommend the shampoo and feather oil enough, our little shetlands tail is covered in Mallanders and I've been using this product regularly, it's very gently lifting all the scabs away and leaving beautiful skin behind. The vet we saw yesterday was incredibly impressed with how these products were working and even took a pic of bottles I took with me as they liked it so much!
